Welcome to prayer focus
Prayer Focus is a monthly series to help new and existing Christians grow in their faith through prayer
New Creation
We started the year looking at new habits …really getting into regular prayer rather than timewasting.
So, these next two months continue the idea of new as we consider 2 Corinthians 5 v 17
If anyone is in Christ he is a new creation the old things have passed away behold all things have become new.(NKJV)
Each week the prayer will focus on verses that remind us of what God gives to us new each day and in our life as we follow him.
To explore
Would others know we are different by what we say and do?
New life in Spring: consider the joyful playing of lambs which symbolise Springtime compared to our approach to God. Are we stuck in our ways and no longer feel the real joy in our Christian life so pray to renew that youthful joy again.
New buds pushing through always signify the hope that the winter has gone and the Spring is coming. Sometimes we find life situations we encounter hard to bear but God gives us hope that it won’t always be like this, situations can change. Pray around anything that may be blocking your true vision of God in a situation.
So, pray for strength to continue trusting in His goodness and faithfulness
New experiences: when did you last branch out and try something new for God? Ask him to show you something new for you in your life. Maybe you need to take a further step of faith or help at some activity. Step out otherwise you may miss out.
